A Saudi doctor has warned that eating meat soup may increase the incidence of atherosclerosis.
In a tweet on his Twitter account, Dr. Fahd Al-Khudairi, a professor and a Saudi carcinogen research scientist, said: “Drinking meat broth (or lamb broth) is the essence of meat fats (a fatty and heavy food) and rich in fats and salts, but it does not treat hardening of the arteries, but may increase arteriosclerosis. .
He added, "It may even cause high cholesterol in some patients (atherosclerosis is mainly caused by smoking, as smoking molecules combine with fat to form a solid substance that is deposited in the arteries)."
Atherosclerosis occurs when the blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients from the heart to the rest of the body become thick and stiff, sometimes preventing blood flow to the organs and tissues.
