Official response about a serious disease caused by "Qamaruddin"

A large number of users of social networking sites "Twitter" circulated about the danger of "Qamaruddin" drink for diabetics, and that it causes clots and increases cholesterol in the blood.

For its part, the Food and Drug Administration, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said, "It is not true that the Qamaruddin drink causes blood clots for diabetics and increases cholesterol in the blood."

She explained in a tweet to her on "Twitter" that "Qamar al-Din drink has not been proven to have an effect on blood sugar, and it is recommended to reduce it, but it is prepared using high amounts of sugar, which affects diabetics."

The Saudi Commission advised that it be prepared at home using fresh apricots with less sugar.
