Covid 19 may not be just one disease, but six distinct types, as a new British study claims. The researchers added that each type varies in severity and the need for respiratory support during hospitalization.

A new study written by a global team of scientists led by Dr. Sumit Chanda, a professor at Sanford Burnham Medical Institute, has identified 21 existing drugs that stop the recurrence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid 19.

Temporary loss of olfactory sensation, is the main neurological symptom and one of the most common indications of Covid 19, studies indicate that it predicts disease better than other known symptoms such as fever and cough, but the underlying mechanisms for olfactory loss in Covid 19 patients were not clear.
