Egypt is on the cusp of self-sufficiency in a strategic commodity

The Egyptian Minister of Supply, Ali Al-Moselhy, announced, on Sunday, that Egypt will reach self-sufficiency in sugar production by the end of 2021.

And the Ministry of Supply said in today's report that Egypt's stock of supply sugar will last for 3.2 months.


And earlier in December, Egypt extended a ban on importing white and raw sugar for three months, according to the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
