Scientists manage to convert salt into a source of energy!

According to the press service of the Russian Institute of Science and Technology in cooperation with Aalto University of America and Massachusetts University of Technology, researchers have been able to create a super-flexible capacitor based on salt .

These super capacitors can be used in wearable electronics (smart watches, for example) and portable batteries.

The article in the "Journal of Energy Storage" journal indicates that the capacitor contains nitrogen-coated graphene electrodes, which are fed into a hydrogel solution containing salt. The resulting structure is sandwiched between single-walled carbon nanotubes, according to the Krasnaya Vesna website.

Experiments showed that the supercapacitor generates a capacity of 806 F / cm and can handle 5,000,000 charge-discharge cycles.
