The Russian authority said: "Against the background of the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in Algeria due to infection with the highly contagious bird flu virus, temporary restrictions have been imposed, as of March 2, 2021, on importing the following products from Algeria: live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat and all types of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment." The import of foodstuffs containing poultry was also banned. The import of live poultry from Algeria was also banned.
