Salmonella outbreaks associated with red onions in 34 US states

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found the main cause of the spread of salmonella in 34 US states after injuring 396 people.

The CDC has announced with a clear warning, "Do not eat, serve or sell any onions from Thomson International Inc., located in Bakersfield, California. This includes any products that may contain red onions in them."

To date, the outbreak has already left at least 396 patients in 34 US states, resulting in 59 hospital admissions, according to the CDC. And in Canada. The Canadian Public Health Authority has counted 114 confirmed cases in five provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island.
