Ways to help you reduce your salt intake

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority revealed how to reduce the amount of salt that is consumed in foods, to avoid the health damage resulting from it.


The Saudi Food and Drug Authority published advice to reduce salt consumption in the food that you eat, and through its Twitter account.


And the large consumption of salt leads to great health damage, so the World Health Organization recommends the need to limit the use of salt, and that the daily consumption does not exceed 5 grams.

One of the most important ways to reduce salt intake is to use salt substitutes such as ginger and lemon.

Read the food label on the products to find out their salt content.


It should be known that there are other commercial names for salt such as sodium, sodium chloride, sodium benzoate, and sodium bicarbonate.
