The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population published on its official Facebook account a set of instructions that included how to use automated teller machines safely to avoid infection with the emerging coronavirus.
The process of using the automatic teller machine includes pressing the screen or buttons to obtain the cash amount, and therefore touching contaminated surfaces may increase the possibility of infection with the virus.
The guidelines published by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Housing included 4 basic directions:
Hand sterilization with alcohol before and after using the device.
Use tissue paper to press the buttons, then dispose of them immediately.
Leave a distance of one to two meters between yourself and others while you wait, while avoiding crowded places as much as possible.
Use of electronic banking services instead of ATMs, if possible.
