The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said on Monday that the organization called on countries of the world to continue the isolation restrictions imposed to confront the Corona virus, adding that lifting restrictions without controlling the virus would be a "recipe for disaster."
Tedros acknowledged that many people are fed up with the restrictions and are seeking to return to normal life eight months after the outbreak of the epidemic.
"We want to see children go back to school and people return to the workplace, but we want to see this done safely," he told a news conference.
Tedros added, “No country can pretend that the epidemic is over ... The truth is that this virus spreads easily. Lifting restrictions without control is a recipe for disaster. ”
