The World Health Organization provides one billion doses of Corona vaccines

The World Health Organization said, Friday, that the "Kovacs" program has provided nearly one billion doses of vaccine to prevent the emerging corona virus, produced by leading companies, to be provided to middle and low income countries.

The Director-General of the organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated that 189 countries participate in the program, according to Reuters.

And "Kovacs" is an ambitious global project to buy virus vaccines and provide them to the poorest people in the world.

On December 5, Ghebreyesus explained that there is a gap of 4.3 billion dollars, and he needs 23.9 billion dollars for 2021.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization at the time urged all countries to "unite and build a post-epidemic world", by investing in vaccines, preparedness against the next epidemic, basic public health and primary health care.
