Global Health: Corona deaths are likely much greater than the official numbers

The World Health Organization said on Friday that official figures showing the number of deaths directly or indirectly linked to Covid-19 are likely "significantly lower" than the true numbers.

In an annual report on global health statistics, the organization estimated that the total deaths from the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020, was at least three million last year, or 1.2 million more than the officially announced figures.
