The discovery of an enzyme affecting the spread of the coronavirus

German scientists from the University of Tübingen came to the conclusion that the coronavirus could not replicate in the human body without the enzyme "guanylate kinase" (GK1).
This was reported by the German newspaper, "Merkur".

Scientists have developed a computer model for the reproduction of the coronavirus, and it has become clear that the virus forces the cell, upon entering it, to produce some substances that help spread the infection. The GK1 enzyme is considered one of the most important. And after scientists were able to withdraw the enzyme from the human body temporarily, the virus's reproduction was immediately stopped.

According to the scientist, Andreas Dreger, the health of a person does not depend directly on the presence of the enzyme "guanylate" in his body. Therefore, it is possible to stop its production temporarily.
